Sean Dyche has reacted to rumours linking him with the Tottenham job, joking that the situation clearly wasn’t true because of where he actually was at the time.

Speaking about the speculation, Dyche explained that he was in a pub when someone approached him and told him he was supposedly in talks with Tottenham that same night.

He said: “I was in the pub just up the road and this guy goes ‘you’re meant to be in talks with Spurs tonight’ and I said ‘well I’m standing next to you having a pint of Guinness, so it’s unlikely!’”

Still Calls Tottenham a Massive Club

Despite laughing off the rumours, Dyche made it clear that he still has a lot of respect for the club.

He added: “Spurs are a brilliant and massive club, so when you say ‘I’m flattered’ they go ‘he hasn’t said no!’”
