Match Awards from Germany’s Narrow Victory Over Ghana

Germany secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ghana in an entertaining international friendly, but it was not an easy night for Julian Nagelsmann’s side.

Despite dominating possession for long periods, Germany had to work until the closing stages to find the winning goal. Ghana remained dangerous throughout the match and pushed the hosts all the way.

The biggest individual honour of the night went to Deniz Undav, who came off the bench to score the decisive late winner. His impact completely changed the match and earned him the “Meister of the Match” award.

Florian Wirtz was another standout performer for Germany. The attacking midfielder constantly caused problems for Ghana with his movement, creativity, and passing in the final third. He was recognised with the “Der Bomber” award after playing a key role in Germany’s attacking play.

At the back, Nico Schlotterbeck delivered a strong defensive display and received the “Der Kaiser” award. He handled Ghana’s quick counter-attacks well and helped Germany stay composed during difficult moments.

Young midfielder Lennart Karl also impressed after entering the game. His energy and confidence in midfield gave Germany extra control and earned him the “Fußballgott” award.

For Ghana, defender Alexander Djiku was considered the team’s best player. He made several important interventions and was named the “Jersey Swap” winner for his solid performance.

Meanwhile, Joshua Kimmich received the highest overall player rating after another influential display in midfield. He controlled the tempo of the match and was crucial in helping Germany edge past a determined Ghana side.
