Salah on PSG, Bayern and Italian clubs’ radar, says official
Mohamed Salah is attracting interest from several major European clubs ahead of his Liverpool departure, according to Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassan.
The Egyptian official revealed that clubs from France, Germany and Italy are all monitoring Salah’s situation as the forward prepares to leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
Hassan said Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and several Italian clubs are among the teams showing interest in the 33-year-old attacker.
He also suggested that Salah should remain in Europe rather than move to Major League Soccer, believing that staying at the highest level would help him remain in the spotlight ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Salah recently confirmed that he will leave Liverpool after a hugely successful nine-year spell at Anfield. During his time with the club, he won two Premier League titles, the Champions League and several other major trophies while becoming one of Liverpool’s greatest players.
Among the possible Italian destinations, Roma has already been linked with a potential move for Salah, who previously played for the Serie A club before joining Liverpool in 2017. However, reports suggest that a return to Italy could be financially difficult because of his high wages.
PSG and Bayern Munich are both seen as realistic options because they can offer Salah the chance to continue competing at the highest level in European football. Saudi Arabian clubs also remain interested, while MLS has been mentioned as another possible destination.
For now, Salah has not made a final decision on his next club, but his future is expected to become one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer.
