Spurs Close to De Zerbi Breakthrough as He Could Become 3rd Manager This Season

Tottenham Hotspur are close to reaching an agreement with Roberto De Zerbi after a breakthrough in talks on Monday.
Multiple reports in England confirm that Spurs are now pushing to appoint the former Brighton and Marseille coach following the departure of interim boss Igor Tudor.
Third manager of the season
If the deal is completed, De Zerbi would become Tottenham’s third manager this season, after the club’s recent managerial changes and poor run of results that has left them close to the relegation zone.
Among the highest-paid managers in the league
Reports also state that the Italian coach is being offered a long-term contract with a huge salary package. If agreed, he would become one of the highest-paid managers in the Premier League, behind only Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta.
Talks accelerated on Monday
De Zerbi had originally preferred to wait until the summer before returning to management, but Tottenham pushed for an immediate agreement due to their situation in the league.
