Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz the Stars of Multimedia Museum Exhibition
Two of Germany’s brightest football talents, Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, are now the focus of a spectacular new museum exhibition in Dortmund.
The exhibition, titled “SUPERHEROES – Jamal Musiala & Florian Wirtz. The Immersive Experience”, opened at the German Football Museum and immediately attracted huge attention from football fans, families and media across the country.
Spread across around 1,000 square meters, the multimedia exhibition tells the story of Musiala and Wirtz through high-resolution projections, photographs, comic-style visuals, animations, original memorabilia and interactive experiences. Visitors can explore the careers, personalities and dreams of the two young stars in a completely new way.
The museum describes the exhibition as one of its biggest projects ahead of the 2026 World Cup. It is also the first time the German Football Museum has dedicated such a large exhibition to two active footballers who are still at the beginning of their careers.
At the opening event, around 400 children and young fans attended together with their families. Family members of both players were also present, including Florian Wirtz’s parents and Jamal Musiala’s mother. German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann praised the exhibition and said it gives people the chance not only to look at the past, but also to dream about the future of German football. ()
Both players also shared personal thoughts about their childhood heroes. Wirtz said that his football idol growing up was Lionel Messi, while Musiala revealed that he admired Ronaldinho because of his dribbling skills, creativity and joy on the pitch. However, Musiala added that his real superheroes are his family, because they have always supported him.
The exhibition will remain open until January 6, 2027, giving football supporters plenty of time to experience one of the most unique museum projects dedicated to modern football stars.
