According to recent reports from Spain, Barcelona still want Julián Álvarez as their first-choice signing to strengthen the attack next season. The Argentine striker is seen as a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, with the club planning major changes in the forward line this summer.

However, the transfer is expected to be very difficult because of the price and the fact that his club are not willing to sell easily. Because of that, Barcelona are already preparing alternative options.
